Year 9 Cadbury's World Trip

Year 9 Students from the Business Studies Department had a fantastic day at Cadbury World in Bourneville, Birmingham. The nature of the visit was to study Cadbury PLC and grasp an understanding of how a large multinational business operates on a daily basis.
The students received a full tour of the business and watched how each department operate within the company. Students were also given the chance to see the fast production lines in action and sculpture chocolate into different patterns. Cadbury produce 1.5 Million Cream Eggs per day! For over an hour, students were engaged by the Learning Team who led a workshop where students learnt about company, Aims and Objectives, Grown, Departments, Finance, Fair Trade and Business Sectors in which the company operate.
Students also gained an insight into how American company, Kraft Inc takeover has affected Cadbury and their staff.
Mr Kelly said, ‘This was extremely informative trip for the students. They were a fantastic credit to the school and the local community. We will be working together back in the classroom to make sure these valuable experiences are transferred into students assignments / coursework.’
